I learned how to create these WebQuests through a technology seminar presented by Cynthia Matzat. 

The rationale behind this lesson was for the students to appreciate the human side of war.  I wanted to let them see how, in war, all sides suffer.  I am hoping this approach will allow the students to remember the war long after my class and long after high school.  The interview that the kids conduct will allow them to empathize to a greater degree.  Theory says that if learning is an event, the kids will retain the information.  I hope you have success with this lesson.  Adjust it to your needs as you see fit.
