Slide 1 – Introduction

Slide 2 – Introduce your poem and link your poem to a Microsoft Word Document.

Slide 3 – Please ask the class 5 questions to start a discussion about the poem and it’s meaning.Don’t forget to look on the Bloom’s Taxonomy Website for good question starters.

Slide 4 – Theme (What is the theme of your poem?) – be prepared to explain this to the class.

Slide 5 and 6 – Please point out and teach 3 literary devices in your poem.

Slide 7 – Compare the history of your author and share how his/her experiences shaped the poem.

Slide 8 – Read one of your narrative poems to the class and tell what makes it a narrative poem by asking the class questions about your poem.Link your poem to the slide.

Slide 9 – What is the purpose of poetry and how can it affect the lives of your students.In what ways is it important to your students?

You can definitely have more than 9 slides.Please add pictures and PowerPoint effects to add to the aesthetics of the presentation.

For Extra Credit:Link your narrative poems and teach one of those to the class.
