Process:

1. Get into your assigned groups of two.

2. Print a copy of the S.O.S. planning sheet

3. Use the symbol links on the Resources page to learn about each U.S. symbol and answer the questions on your planning sheet.

4. After your team has completed the planning sheet, report to the teacher in order to select a symbol for your presentation.

5. Use Power Point to create a three page slide show about your U.S. symbol. Your slide show must include:

a. a picture of your team's symbol

b. three facts about your symbol

c. three reasons why the President should chose your symbol to keep.

6. Be ready to present your slide show to the class and be able to explain why you chose your symbol.
